For a small plant-swap gift, imagine a sticker showing your own basil seedling with the words “Grown by Maya”. The picture can be playful; the name should remain easy to change. This illustrative project follows Cricut’s documentation, rather than a machine test.
Use a configured StickerPix Print + Cut connected to a compatible Bluetooth-enabled computer running Design Space, with an internet connection. Select that machine, load its sticker sheets and start a Blank Sheet from Stickers.[4][2]
Use your own photograph for this personal gift. Cricut sends uploads used with AI features to authorised third-party AI providers. The original upload and its AI-enhanced output remain in your account rather than entering the public Cricut library.[5]
Make the picture, then add the words
Select AI Create, choose an available style and use Add Reference Image for your photo. Enter an optional prompt, then Generate. Each generation uses one AI credit; add the result to the Canvas.[1]
Try this original prompt: “Keep the seedling central, simplify the surroundings and leave the lower part clear. Do not add lettering.” It describes the composition you want, without asking the image generator to settle the final wording.
Compare the result with the purpose of the gift. Is the plant recognisable enough for you? Has the simplified background left room for the caption? If a decorative detail competes with the leaves, decide whether it belongs in this small design.
Add “Grown by Maya” with Text. On a computer, double-click the text box to change the wording; adjust its font and size separately.[2]
Make the cut follow the whole design
Position the picture and caption so their sticker borders overlap. Select both and choose Merge Sticker. This combines them into one sticker. Group instead keeps elements together for positioning and resizing without combining them. If Merge Sticker is absent, check that more than one sticker is selected.[3]
The caption should leave the backing sheet with the plant.[3]
Use Duplicate for more copies, or Layout’s Fill option to fill spare space with stickers already on the Canvas. Border changes the border’s thickness or colour; turning Sticker off makes an element print without being cut.[3]
Keep the design inside the white Canvas area. Select Make, examine the preview, then Go! to print. Check the caption’s spelling and whether the preview still shows the arrangement you intended.[2]
For another sheet, AI Create’s Saved tab lets you reuse the generated picture already in your account. The next project can begin with that image instead of another generation.[1]
