PTC launched Jetstream on 21 October to put engineering reviews in shared browser-based Rooms. Employees and suppliers can discuss 2D and 3D product data, while AI summaries identify discussion outcomes, next steps and owners. Windchill users can send product data into a Room and return the review record to their product-management system.[1]
Each summarised item carries the file version associated with its comment. Readers choose updates since their last activity or asset addition, or from the past 24 hours or seven days. Changing that window generates a summary.[2]
The underlying comments preserve visual context too. A comment can retain model orientation, zoom, hidden components and measurements. If another revision is open, the reader can switch to the comment’s original version and restore its saved view. That makes it possible to return from a discussion to the particular design state being discussed.[3]
For engineering teams, the change is where comments and decisions live: beside the product data that the next team will use.[1]
