ServiceNow and OpenAI expanded their partnership on 28 October, making a ServiceNow MCP plugin available in OpenAI’s marketplace.[1]
Action Fabric applies existing permissions and business rules. An IT user can find similar incidents, assess a change and update a record from the conversation.[1]
The announced delivery timetable
| Capability | Expected availability |
|---|---|
| Plugin enhancements | End of 2026 |
| Voice assessments | First quarter of 2027 |
| Security tools | Early access: January 2027; general availability: second quarter |
| Codex in AI Workflow Factory | 2027 |
The commercial setting
The announcement came alongside ServiceNow’s third-quarter results. Management raised its 2026 AI annual-contract-value target to $1.7 billion, from $1 billion at the start of the year. That is a target for contract value, not reported AI revenue for the quarter.[2]
Across the wider business, subscription revenue reached $3.988 billion in the quarter ended 30 September, up 21% year on year.[2]
Current remaining performance obligations stood at $13.65 billion: contracted revenue the company expects to recognise over the following 12 months. Read together, the figures distinguish business already under contract from management’s higher ambition for AI sales.[2]
